Q. How do I find Seastar Watersports Club Murjan?
A. We are located approximately 10km south of Aqaba on the first South Beach area on the main road heading towards Saudi Arabia. We have a large banner along our wall "Seastar Watersports" You cannot miss us!!!! Ask about our free hotel transfers!!

Q. Can I pay by credit card and what documentation do I need to bring when diving with you?
A. We accept payment with Visa and Mastercard and also take cash in Jordan Dinar, US Dollars, Euro or Pounds Sterling. There are plenty of ATMs around. All you need is proof of diving certification, and it is always a great idea to bring along your log book, If you hold a PADI certification, we can check on this online.

Q. How do I get to Jordan?
A. Jordan is easily accessed by air, road or sea! Aqaba and Amman are serviced by most airlines from around the world. You can also access Aqaba from Israel by simply walking across the border and obtaining a free visa on the Aqaba side. A fast ferry service runs between Nuweiba in Egypt and Aqaba. Ask us for further information

Q. Do you operate over Christmas , New Year, Easter, Ramadan and other holidays?
A. We dive 365 days a year! We are always open

Q. What is the water temperature in Aqaba during the year?
A. The water temperature is approximately 20 ° Celsius in the Winter and 28 ° Celsius in the Summer

Q. How long do I have to wait after diving before I travel to Petra, Wadi Rum or Amman?
A. We advise divers to wait at least 12 hours prior to going to Petra, Wadi Rum or Amman. No problem going to the Dead Sea though!

Q. I haven't dived for a while will I need a check out or refresher dive?
A. We advise all divers to do a refresher dive when they have not being diving for 6 months or longer or a continuing education course to improve your knowledge base and diving skills. If you have not dived for over a year, we suggest you do a full Scuba Review revising theory, skills and buoyancy control. A great way to feel comfortable again and safe

Q. Do I need diving insurance to dive?
A. We highly recommend all divers to have their own diving insurance, please make sure your travel insurance covers you for scuba diving

Q. Can I come along to Club Murjan if I am not diving?
A. Yes, you can come along to Club Murjan if you are not diving. We have a large swimming pool, toilets, changing rooms and a restaurant with easy access to the beach. So if you want to just relax in the sun, swim or go snorkeling, this is no problem. See our price list for entry fees and snorkeling

Q. Can I bring children to Club Murjan?
A. Yes, children are more than welcome to come along and enjoy the facilities!

Q. Can I come on the boat if I am not diving?
A. You are welcome, there is plenty of room on board and you can enjoy a day snorkeling or swimming with a nice BBQ lunch and drinks. See our boat snorkeling prices for details.

Q. Can I bring my young children on the boat?
A. Children are most welcome to enjoy the day on the boat! Maybe they could try snorkeling!

Q. I am a vegetarian will there be any suitable food for me on the menus?
A. Our Club Murjan restaurant menu and boat food include vegetarian dishes. So no problems!

Q. I am not a certified diver and would like to try diving but I don't have the time for a course, what can I do?
A. You can by all means dive! You can enroll in our Discover Scuba Diving program and dive immediately! Provided you are of normal healthy fitness

Q. Do I need a visa to enter Jordan?
A. Yes. Most nationalities need a visa to enter Jordan. If arriving in Aqaba by air, border crossing from Israel or ferry from Egypt, most nationalities can obtain a free visa on arrival. If arriving by air to Amman and traveling to Aqaba within 48 hours, you can also obtain a free visa on arrival. Aqaba is located in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA) which means Aqaba is a duty free zone. Check with your local consulate or embassy for your nationality's visa requirements just to be on the safe side.

Q. Is alcohol sold and legal to consume in Jordan?
A. Alcohol is freely available in Jordan at most restaurants and bars. Aqaba also has duty free alcohol shops. The only time alcohol cannot be sold is during Ramadan.

Q. Do you arrange accommodation for divers?
A. Yes! We can provide accommodation bookings through our travel office Above and Below Adventures. They can provide a choice of hotels depending on your budget

Q. Is it safe to travel to Jordan?
A. Jordan is safe to travel to. It has a stable government, friendly political relations with all neighbors and very friendly people to welcome you!

Q.Is there access to the Internet in Aqaba?
A. Yes! Most hotels have free wireless internet for guests and we have free wireless internet at Club Murjan for guests.
